Gilbert PAEFFGEN
Né en 1958 à Würzburg, en Allemagne, je vis aujourd’hui en Suisse.
Pour moi, faire de la musique est une méditation sans fin et un exercice de créativité et de développement personnel. Cet art ouvre des portes de l’intérieur vers l’extérieur et inversement.
Et, la plupart du temps, elle parle d’elle-même…
Les instruments dont je joue sont la batterie et le dulcimer à marteaux, qu’on appelle également, en Suisse, l’« Appenzeller Hackbrett ».
Dans certaines formations, je ne joue que de la batterie. Dans d’autres, je ne joue que du dulcimer à marteaux. Dans certains, je joue des deux ; c’est le cas dans Gilbert Paeffgen Trio.
Comme vous pourrez le voir et l’entendre ci-dessous (https://noon.mu/projet/gilbert-paeffgen-trio/), je suis attiré et inspiré par des genres musicaux assez variés, avec beaucoup d’éléments insolites et folkloriques. Au sein de différents groupes, projets et productions, avec des musiciens et des artistes aux horizons variés, je combine ces influences artistiques et humaines.
Par ailleurs, je suis actif en tant que compositeur et concepteur.
En 2016, j’ai reçu le prix culturel de la « Bürgi-Willert Stiftung ».
Born in 1958 in Würzburg, Germany, now I live in Switzerland.
Making music for me is a never-ending meditation and exercise in creativity and self – development.
It opens doors from inside to outside and the other way around.
Most of the times it speaks for itself…
The instruments I play are the drums and the hammered dulcimer.
The hammered dulcimer is also called „Appenzeller Hackbrett“.
There are groups where I play only the drums, others, where I play only the hammered dulcimer and in some I play the both of them.
As you might see and hear in the following (https://noon.mu/projet/gilbert-paeffgen-trio/) I am attracted to and inspired by rather various kinds of music with a lot of odd and folkish ingredients.
In different groups, projects, productions with different musicians and artists from different angles I combine these influences.
Beyond that I`m active as composer and conceptor.
In 2016 I was awarded the Kulturpreis of the „Bürgi–Willert Stiftung“ .

All’interno di diversi gruppi, progetti e produzioni, con musicisti e artisti di diversi orizzonti, combino queste influenze artistiche e umane.
Inoltre, sono attivo come compositore e ideatore.
Nel 2016 ho ricevuto il premio culturale della «Bürgi-Willert Stiftung».
